A Glimpse of Clarity [a poem by me]

Every now and then theres a rainbow,
A sign of hope defined for a moment or two.
Futility then returns;
No structure and no point of reference.
Where are you?
What are you?
Why do you see what you see?
Relevance is lost in its entirety,
A machete through the eyes of a scared child.
Where is the consistency?
Inertia is the answer to those numbers that you dialled.
To exist is to attempt to define the undefinable,
Put the mask back on and go to work.

Should there be more religion on television? What I think... (from BBC HaveYourSay)

Should there be more religion on television?

The BBC is being accused of reducing and marginalising its television coverage of religious and ethical issues. Are enough religious programmes broadcast?

Some members of the Church of England's Synod believe that, despite long-running programmes such as BBC1's Songs of Praise, there has been a reduction in the scope of broadcasting about religion.

The BBC insists that its commitment to religion and ethics broadcasting is "unequivocal", and that religious broadcasting has increased in recent years, to an annual total of 168 hours.

Should the BBC broadcast more religious programmes? Should religion have a larger platform in the media? Do you watch religious programmes? What form should religious broadcasts take?

What I Think

Do I want to see more encouragement of masochistic behaviour on TV? No.

It is things like this that stop me from watching TV, I watch everything using video streaming services such as iPlayer, etc. just so I can selectively silence the sick propaganda.

The negatively focused doctrines of christian, islamic, jewish, sikh, and many more, need to be eradicated from daily programming. It is time people started being honest about their masochistic desires and stopped hiding them behind religion.

"What do you think will be the big stories of 2010?" (from BBC HaveYourSay)

Some more outrageous claims and equally outrageous acts from the radically religious, I expect.

Who really knows with these people? Believing in one thing with no evidence or logical reasoning only makes the individual more susceptible to do it again in other areas of their life without realising.

Maybe some people will see sense.

With the current "Oh no, I might offend someone if I say that so I won't say it" attitude, we are becoming more and more of a breeding ground for idiocy.

Assorted Secretions

Your Manipulated Mind/Go Back to Bed

Close your eyes
Keep telling yourself that it will all go away
Go back to bed

The voice in your head
Your deep regret and hope for forgiveness
Formed from fabrications you were fed

Right and wrong
You think these are clear cut
Lacerated into your broken mind with intent

Go back to bed

To Be Continued....

Responsibility to the responsible

I see all these crimes in the news where the blame is being chucked around blindly and think to myself that it is about time people started placing responsibility on the criminal rather than on the books they read, the music they listened to, the video games they played, or the upbringing they had, etc.

What needs to be realised is that no matter what books, music and video games people utilize, their own actions are their own responsibility.

They
were the ones who decided to utilize it.

This applies whether they took influence from the aformentioned things or not because, to put it plainly, it was them that decided to act on it and if they were stupid enough not to think things through properly and consider the possible consequences then they deserve punishment for that alone anyway, along with whatever punishment is decided for the consequence of their actions.

Responsibility to the responsible.

Not the shit that they chose to read/write/watch/whatever and to act upon without considering the consequence of.

Jade Goody – A biography (taken from the News of The World)

From Sickipedia

1. She faced court action over thousands of pounds of unpaid rent.

2. Just hours after arriving (on Big Brother), she had flashed one of her boobs and left viewers stunned with a torrent of foul language.

3. jade was a figure of ridicule. She was branded a “pig”, two-faced and ignorant. Rival contestants labelled her “thick” and “ugly”.

4. Viewers switched on to watch tipsy jade strip off during a drinking game to flash her “kebab”.

5. She thought East Anglia was called East Angular, and that it was somewhere near Tunisia. And she reckoned Rio de Janeiro was a person.

6. jade kept trotting out the clangers . . . Mona Lisa was painted by “Pistachio”, Mother Teresa was from Germany, Portugal was “in Spain” and “Saddam Hussein was a boxer”.

7. jade put it best herself when she confessed: “I may not be the sharpest tool in the sandwich box.”

8. “If I hadn’t made it on Big Brother I would probably have been living in a council flat with my mum.”

9. Lapping up the publicity, she once told a reporter she planned to dedicate a room in her house to all her front-page covers.

10. She started dating Jack Tweed. jade had spotted him in a nightclub before, but had no idea he was six years her junior. She was smitten from the start, and the couple had sex on their first date at London’s Sanderson Hotel.

11. Their romance was to be played out in the full glare of the public when they both went into the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2007—joined by jade’s mum Jackiey. But the programme that made jade almost broke her this time as she became embroiled in a race row with Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty. She ranted at the actress: “You’re not some princess in f*****g Neverland. I don’t give a s**t. You’re a normal housemate like everybody else. You need to come to terms with that.” She added: “Go back to the slums and find out what real life is about lady.”

12. Later jade confessed she wanted to headbutt the Indian actress and branded her “Shilpa Poppadom”.

13. jade’s popularity nosedived overnight and Ofcom received a staggering 45,000 complaints. Her perfume was removed from the shelves and her autobiography dropped by publishers.

14. She then contracted cancer and turned out to be a fucking saint.

The end

Interesting Christmas Facts

Heres an interesting fact:

Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday that was slowly morphed into the holiday that is celebrated by most Christians today, and according to leading astronomers, the "star" of Bethlehem would have been Venus and Jupiter appearing so close in the sky that they looked like a single bright star... which would have occurred in June 17 of 2BC.
